Law Office of Brodsky & Smith, LLC Announces Investigation of Globus Medical, Inc.
BALA CYNWYD, Pa., March 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Law office of Brodsky & Smith, LLC announces that it is investigating potential claims against Globus Medical, Inc. ("Globus" or the "Company") relating to the unapproved sale of its NuBone Osteoinductive Bone Graft product (NuBone).
Globus had sought clearance of its NuBone product in January 2009, but the FDA declined to clear the product after determining that it was not substantially equivalent to legally-marketed products. The FDA advised Globus that it could not distribute the product, but the firm continued to do so, even after receiving a letter from the FDA. The FDA then filed a complaint for civil money penalties against Globus. Thereafter, the FDA reached a $1 million civil money penalty settlement with Globus.
If your doctor used the NuBone product on you and you wish to discuss the legal ramifications of the unapproved sale, or have any questions, you may e-mail or call the law office of Brodsky & Smith, LLC who will, without obligation or cost to you, attempt to answer your questions.
