Law Enforcement Veteran Les Cravens Joins Auto Data Direct
TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Oct. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Auto Data Direct, Inc., (ADD) today announced veteran law enforcement official Les Cravens as its Director of Law Enforcement and Compliance Policy. "Les has been a friend and professional associate for many years," said Jim Taylor, ADD President. Cravens' impressive career includes service in the U.S. Army Military Police for three years and over 30 years with the Miami-Dade Police Department. During his tenure with Miami-Dade PD he specialized in auto theft prevention including vehicle title and registration fraud, salvage vehicle enforcement and salvage title fraud, export of stolen vehicles, cargo theft, VIN alteration, and odometer fraud. In addition to his investigative duties, Cravens developed instructional programs for law enforcement and industry members aimed at prevention and compliance with federal, state, and local laws pertaining to auto theft and related crimes.
In addition to his new role with ADD, Cravens is the founding partner and C.E.O. of Auto Theft Task Force, Inc., established to provide networking, consulting, investigative services, inspection services and specialized training to individuals or companies in the automotive industry and law enforcement. He was recently named to the Board of Directors for the National Salvage Vehicle Reporting Program (NSVRP), he serves on the Board of Directors of the Florida Auto Theft Intelligence Unit, and is a member and instructor for the Southeastern Chapter of the International Association of Auto Theft Investigators.
