Laurie O. Robinson, Assistant Attorney General, to Speak at University of Minnesota About Violence Against Women
WASHINGTON, March 30 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Laurie O. Robinson, Assistant Attorney General, in the Department of Justice's Office of Justice Programs, will deliver remarks and meet with students, faculty, and community partners at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minn., on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 31, 2010, at 11:30 a.m. CDT. This event is part of a nationwide college campus tour by top department officials to raise awareness of violence against women, commemorating the 15th anniversary of the Violence Against Women Act. Throughout March, nine members of the Department of Justice leadership will visit 11 universities around the nation, including public, private and faith-based institutions and a Historically Black College and University (HBCU).
