Laureate has partnered with HSM, host of the two-day event, to webcast the entire event to 36 institutions in the LIU network.
Presenters at the World Business Forum will include former President Bill Clinton (who is also The Honorary Chancellor of the Laureate International Universities network), author Malcolm Gladwell, former U.S. Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin, former Chairman and CEO of General Electric Jack Welch, president and CEO of Cirque du Soleil Daniel Lamarre, Secretary of the Economy of Mexico Bruno Ferrari, and more than a dozen other global leaders in business, media and government.
"This is an opportunity for our students to hear ideas and trends that are shaping our world -- and to hear these things firsthand from some of the most important global leaders of our time," said Douglas L. Becker, chairman and CEO of Laureate Education, Inc. "Laureate prepares global citizens for an interconnected world. Having our students participate in the World Business Forum, whether in person or through our global webcast, is one way we provide an educational experience that crosses borders, nationalities and cultures."
Laureate's webcast of the World Business Forum to students, faculty and staff in the LIU network will be hosted by three moderators: German Ramirez, head of Laureate's Network Products and Services Division and former president of Universidad de Las Americas (Chile); Guillermo Quiroga, director of the Graduate School at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas; and Carlos Enrique Gonzalez, chief academic officer, Universidad de Valle de Mexico.
