LOS ANGELES, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- LATV, the first Latino-owned national television entertainment network, announced today that, beginning February 1st, it was expanding its movie franchise L-FLIK to seven days a week and launching La Corte del Pueblo, a daily court drama. In addition, LATV will premiere new episodes of the hit extraterrestrial show Los Archivos Secretos de Jaime Maussan.
"Since we started measuring our national audience with Nielsen in October of 2009, we have seen steady growth in the numbers," said LATV Chief Operating Officer Luca Bentivoglio. "We believe that our unique approach to programming in combination with an aggressive distribution model that includes digital multicast, cable, online and a mobile platform, has resulted in a winning formula for LATV's growth."
"Last year's upfront Network sales were up 60% from the previous year, and everyone knows what a difficult environment it was," said David Morales, LATV's Vice President of Sales & Distribution. "The expanded programming will help to strengthen our schedule as our ratings continue to demonstrate that LATV measures up extremely well against our competitors."
"With a solid and experienced management team in place and a clear strategy, LATV expects to continue its solid growth in 2010," concluded Bentivoglio.
