Lattice Engines Awarded Patent for Innovating in Big Data
Recognized for solving data integration challenge for analytics using lattice theory
SAN MATEO, Calif., Aug. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Lattice Engines, the pioneer in Big Data for Sales, today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has awarded the company its first patent: U.S. No. 8,195,712 for "Lattice data set-based methods and apparatus for information storage and retrieval."
The patent covers Lattice's technology for improving data integration by using the mathematical concept of a lattice. With this method, data inconsistencies can be identified, data can be automatically filled in, and relationships can be mechanically inferred saving users time in developing and maintaining analytical data processes.
The patent was awarded to Kent McCormick, Ph.D., president and CTO of Lattice Engines and is available exclusively as part of the company's Big Data for sales platform, salesPRISM.
