Latino Startup Wins National Dream Big America Competition
Latino Founded and Focused Company, Interesante, Named Dream Big Champion
KANSAS CITY, Mo., Jan. 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Dream Big America (www.DreamBigAmerica.us), the first-ever live nationally-syndicated radio show pitting vetted business startups against each other, announces California-based Interesante as this month's Dream Big Champion.
Interesante (www.Interesante.com), presented by founder Antonio Altamirano, is a Pinterest-style site specifically for the Latino community that allows users to discover and share the most interesting things in the world. After winning a preliminary round of the January bracket-style competition, Interesante competed against other finalists, FanzLive and Try the World, in the Finals Round on January 28th.
FanzLive (www.FanzLive.com) is a mobile application to support micro communities and engage fans built around live sporting and music events. FanzLive is based in St. Louis, Missouri, and was presented by President Tim Murphy.
Try the World (www.TryTheWorld.com), presented by co-founders Kat and David, is a subscription service to receive culture-rich, gourmet sampling boxes from cities around the world like Paris, Tokyo, and Rio. Try the World is based out of New York, New York.

After securing the highest voting support from the show's listening audience and startup supporters around the country, Interesante was announced today as the January Dream Big Champion and the recipient of a prize package of resources from Dream Big America sponsors.
The Dream Big America Show features three entrepreneurs pitching their business ideas for two minutes each, followed by an expert panelist who offers feedback and suggestions. Tapping into the surging entrepreneurial movement spreading across the country, Dream Big America strives to educate and support startups, all while providing an exciting venue for America to choose which new businesses it wants to see hit the market.
Dream Big America airs each Tuesday at 9:10am to 9:40am EDT on Doug Stephan's Good Day Program (www.DougStephan.com), syndicated to over 500 markets across the United States with a weekly listening audience of 3.5 million.
