Latin Trade Launches Sino Americas Intensive Conference In Beijing
The one-day event will show Chinese companies the real opportunities to do business in Latin America and the Caribbean, highlighting what has worked, what has not and the blueprint for success in the Americas.
MIAMI, July 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Latin Trade Group will provide Chinese companies a unique occasion to learn about the real opportunities to do business, invest and trade in Latin America and the Caribbean at the Sino Americas Intensive, which will be held on November 10, 2015 in Beijing.
In the last decade, China has surpassed the United States as the chief trading partner of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC.) In addition to trade, Chinese companies and banks have invested more than $70 billion in the region, have signed contracts worth $39 billion and have provided loans that surpass $119 billion to governments and firms.
The Latin Trade Group, a leading provider of global business information and trends that shape corporate developments in Latin America, offers a complimentary, by-invitation only, one-day briefing conference for Chinese companies that are investing or looking to invest in Latin America to learn about the opportunities available in the key sectors of energy, infrastructure and agribusiness. This meeting will also provide a crucial opportunity for Latin American companies doing business with China to position themselves as key partners on strategic investment in the region. "We want to steer the conversation directly into business. Tell the real story, with its good and bad sides, but highlighting that there are significant winnings to be made for companies that take the time to understand their counterpart on the other side of the Pacific," Latin Trade Group's CEO, Rosemary Winters, said.
The first half of day of the Sino Americas Intensive will give up-to-the minute expert insights from high-level public and private sector leaders that shape the opportunities and build a greater understanding of what Chinese companies need to succeed in LAC. The second half of the day will allow leader-to-leader networking and offer a space to market potential projects. "We want to show best practices, what has worked and what has not and then engage businesspeople into real deal options," Ms. Winters said.
The Sino Americas Intensive will be held in partnership with law firm Hogan Lovells, the Inter-American Development Bank and the Inter-American Dialogue. It will be held at the Beijing offices of Hogan Lovells International (31st Floor, Tower 3, China Central Place, No. 77 Jianguo Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing).
This Sino Americas Intensive launches a series of connected events in a year-round opportunity for these two economic powerhouse regions to gain insight, understanding and tangible business opportunities. The intensive will lead into the Sino Americas Forum in April 2016 in the Bahamas. At the Forum, high-level public and private sector leaders will explore strategic business and trade opportunities between China and the Americas, creating both a policy dialogue and relationships and ideas that will lead to concrete business results.
