This year, the BRAVO Business Awards are celebrating 20 years recognizing excellence and leadership in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Caroline Scheufele, Co-President and Artistic Director of Chopard, the Swiss luxury watch, jewelry and accessories company, will be recognized as the Environmentalist of the Year for her role championing "The Journey to Sustainable Luxury" initiative, through which the company has committed to suppliers who use environmentally and socially conscious practices, setting a new standard for the luxury retail industry.
José María Álvarez-Pallete, COO of Telefónica, one of the world's largest mobile network providers, will be honored with the Innovative Corporate Leader of the Year Award for his role as founder and architect of Wayra, Telefónica's worldwide start-up accelerator, first launched in Latin America and now expanding in Europe.
Carlos Fadigas, CEO of Braskem, the largest petrochemical company in the Americas, will be presented with the Sustainability CEO of the Year Award for contributing to the company's expansion as a global leader in sustainable chemicals.
Ricardo Poma, CEO of Grupo Poma, one of Central America's leading conglomerates, will be bestowed with the Social Responsibility CEO of the Year Award for his commitment to innovative and high-impact corporate social responsibility initiatives that have tackled grassroots problems in El Salvador, such as education and health.
CAF, a leading development bank comprising 18 countries, as well as 14 private banks, will be honored with the second annual Trade Américas BRAVO Award for its track record supporting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Latin America and the Caribbean. Enrique García, President and CEO of CAF, will receive the award on behalf of the organization.
