"As a father, I can't help but feel deeply touched by the children who are at St. Jude at this moment. The mission of this hospital is truly unique and the magnitude of hope that it brings to thousands of families is unimaginable," said Colombian singer Juanes. "I have always admired the work that St. Jude accomplishes by helping sick children not just in the United States but other parts of the world."
With multi-platinum worldwide sales of over 12 million albums, a GRAMMY and a record-setting seventeen LATIN GRAMMY awards, Juanes was recognized by Billboard as the single most important figure of the past decade. However, his impact on the world goes far beyond his artistic career. Juanes has also been recognized for his humanitarian efforts in Latin America and around the world. He was honored at the annual benefit gala for Sir Paul McCartney's Adopt-A-Minefield for his work as a Goodwill Ambassador for 'United for Colombia", a non-profit organization that raises awareness about the impact of land mines. Juanes has also received the "Knight in the order of Arts and Letters" Award, the highest cultural honor given by France.
Model and television personality Daisy Fuentes will serve as hostess for the gala welcoming Latin celebrities from the television and music industries who will rub elbows with more than 500 guests. The evening's theme "Masquerade" will include an elegant dinner, cocktails courtesy of GREY GOOSE Vodka, and a silent and live auction.
