Last-Minute Shoppers Rejoice: Hayneedle.com Offering "In Time for Christmas" Delivery on Orders Completed by 9 p.m. Monday

OMAHA, Neb., Dec. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- With six days left before Christmas, hayneedle.com—with an assist from FedEx and UPS—is offering delivery in time for Christmas to customers who order from a select collection of items by 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Monday, Dec. 23.

According to an NRF 2013 Holiday Consumer Spending Survey released on Tuesday, 32 million holiday shoppers had not begun their shopping by Dec. 9. The NRF survey reports that while 29.2 percent of those who have not completed their shopping plan to wrap things up by today, another 10.1 percent will wait until Christmas Eve.

Nearly half (49.9 percent) of holiday shoppers plan on completing their Christmas shopping online, the highest percentage in the survey's 11-year history.

To accommodate those last-minute holiday shoppers hayneedle.com has hundreds of gifts available for delivery in time for Christmas including popular gifts such as dollhouses, binoculars, globes and maps, telescopes, video game chairs, riding toys, play kitchens, jewelry boxes and riding toys.

The Monroe fulfillment center alone will ship more than half a million items this holiday season.
