Last Chance to Walk to Fight Canine Cancer in Los Gatos

DENVER, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Join Morris Animal Foundation and Northern California dog lovers this Sunday, October 10, at the 1st annual K9 Cancer Walk at Vasona Lake Park, Los Gatos, Calif. Donations raised will help Morris Animal Foundation fund health research to prevent, treat and, ultimately, cure cancer in dogs through its Canine Cancer Campaign. Register at www.K9CancerWalk.org.

Currently, more than 40 teams have registered for the walk, and with the help and dedication of its volunteers and sponsors, Morris Animal Foundation has already raised more than $55,000 from the event.

"We couldn't be happier with the support we have received for the 1st annual K9 Cancer Walk in Los Gatos," said Tish Czachor, Morris Animal Foundation's canine cancer events manager. "The K9 Cancer Walk program is all about best friends helping best friends, and we can't wait to celebrate our canine best friends on October 10."

Online registration will remain open until 5:00 p.m. on October 8.

On October 10, onsite registration and check-in begin at 9 a.m. The walk begins at 10 a.m. Updates on the latest canine cancer research developments and Canine Cancer Campaign news begin at 11 a.m. The K9 Cancer Walk will be held at Vasona Lake Park, 333 Blossom Hill Road, Los Gatos, Calif., in the Circle Group Area. Route options include a 2-mile walk and a 0.25-mile walk. This event is dog and family friendly.

Los Gatos K9 Cancer Walk sponsors are Eukanuba, Clear Channel Radio, VCA Animal Hospitals and Fetch Magazine.
