Lasso was hired by RelaDyne during its initial stages to perform the dual role of Regional Sales Manager and Key Account Manager of its Chicago facilities. Prior to RelaDyne, Lasso spent 15 years with Mueller Industries as Regional Sales Manager, Area Sales Manager and Commercial Sales Manager. In his most recent role at Mueller, his primary responsibility was development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies for his primary market area which included 11 states at its height. Chris was also very instrumental in the recruitment and development of Mueller's sales training program.
Now as RelaDyne's General Manager Chicago Division, Chris's responsibilities include managing all P&L responsibilities as well as designing strategies with vendors and customers to grow the Chicago lubricants and services business in all three markets – Illinois, Northern Indiana and Wisconsin. Since October 2011, Chris has managed the Motor Oil division in Chicago and has gained experience in growing the manufacturing side of that business. He will also be playing a role in transitioning all Chicago offices to one ERP system shared throughout RelaDyne.
Chris will have two industry veterans to assist him as he transitions to his new role as General Manager – Tom Sullivan, Operations Manager of Motor Oil Inc., and Jim McGrath, Operations Manager and previous General Manager of RelaDyne Chicago.
Doug Oehler, RelaDyne's Executive Vice President of Branch Distribution in the North, is excited to see Chris take a bigger role in the company. "Chris has illustrated the ability to grow with RelaDyne, and I am extremely happy to have Chris running our network of locations in one of the largest lubricants, blending, Diesel Exhaust Fluid and services markets in the US. He has proven that he can motive and develop our associates in a broad variety of situations in his tenure with RelaDyne and his past employment with Mueller."
When asked about his new opportunity at RelaDyne, Chris says, "I am excited for the opportunity and ready for the challenge. We will develop a winning culture in Chicago and will set a higher standard for achievement. I look for Chicago to be a top performing division within RelaDyne."
Chris will continue to live in Westerville, Ohio, with his wife and three daughters as he transitions to his new role at RelaDyne.
