LasikPlus® Announces Winners from "How Eye See the World" Photo Contest
Cristian Nicolae won free laser vision correction, trip to photography workshop
CINCINNATI, Dec. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- LasikPlus®, a leading provider of laser vision correction services, recently announced its winners from a contest the company hosted on its Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/LasikPlus). The contest requested submissions of photographs that represented how LasikPlus' services have changed, or could potentially change, the way people view favorite aspects of their lives as a result of laser vision correction.
Participants posted their photos to LasikPlus' Facebook page for a chance to win a voucher for a free laser vision correction procedure, as well as other valuable prizes. The winning entries were judged by a jury from LasikPlus.
LasikPlus selected Cristian Nicolae as its grand prize winner. Cristian won a free laser vision correction procedure from LasikPlus, as well as a four day National Geographic Photography Workshop in our nation's capital, Washington, D.C. The winning photo will be featured in an upcoming LasikPlus advertising campaign.
The first place winner, Roger Younce, won a free laser vision correction procedure from LasikPlus and a $1,000 gift card to B&H Photo. Aaron White, the second place winner, also won a free laser vision correction procedure from LasikPlus in addition to a $500 gift card to Best Buy.
"Patients who come into our offices before treatment often tell us of wanting to be able to see their favorite thing or experience their favorite activity without the burden of glasses or contacts," said LasikPlus Chief Operating Officer David Thomas. "We wanted people who are considering the treatment to share, through photography, the improved way they wish they could see the world. From children, to nature scenes, to action shots, the results were really profound and we're happy to make corrected vision a reality for our three winners."
More than 370 participants submitted nearly 460 photographs in the "How Eye See the World" contest. The winning photos depicted nature scenes, adventure and the joy that comes with the gift of improved vision without the hassle of glasses or contacts.
