LAS VEGAS, Aug. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Voting is now live for the Vegas Spin-Off DJ contest, and the destination is calling all electronic music fans to cast their ballot for the next upcoming DJ talent. Fan votes will help seven spin-masters move to the final round to compete for the grand prize judged by a panel of superstar DJs and industry heavyweights.
Sponsored by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and judged by a panel of international celebrity DJs, the Vegas Spin-Off contest seeks the latest electronic music prodigy whose passion for beats and rhythm translates to the turntables.
The panel of judges includes Grammy Award-winner Lil Jon, chart-topping duo LMFAO, DJ VICE, Markus Schulz and Sol Shafer. The grand prize winner will receive an all-expense paid, VIP trip to Las Vegas, the opportunity to open at Surrender Nightclub at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, a $10,000 in-home recording studio, $1,500 in PUMA apparel and a $500 Visa gift card.
Amateur spinners submitted their original track to be judged by fans, and now voters can visit www.indabamusic.com/vegasspinoff to select their favorite track and help choose the top seven finalists. Or stop by www.facebook.com/lasvegas to review the tracks and learn more about the contest.
The seven finalists will be voted on by the fans and flown to Las Vegas to perform in a spin-off event at Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on Sept. 26. The finalists' live performances will be filmed and later judged by the entire celebrity panel with the winner announced shortly thereafter. Fan voting takes place now through Thursday, Sept. 1.
