Showcased before the famous "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign, 11 Donn Arden's Jubilee! Showgirls from Bally's Las Vegas, clad in brightly-colored headdresses, presented the pair of 4-foot-by-4-foot, pink and orange dice at 11:11 a.m. (EST) accompanied by a classic pink Cadillac. Guinness World Records stated that to set the record a pair of fuzzy dice must be created 10 times the size of a standard set.
"Las Vegas is synonymous with world-class entertainment, dining, shopping and nightlife," said Cathy Tull, senior vice president of marketing at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. "Setting the world record for the largest fuzzy dice represents Las Vegas' ability to continually reinvent itself and showcase its unique culture."
With more than 37 million visitors annually, Las Vegas ranks as one of the world's most popular destinations.
