The EPL-EMG-48-4L-LED-G2 Hazardous Location LED Light with emergency battery backup from Larson Electronics provides operators with an ideal alternative to fluorescent hazardous location fixtures that provides better output and performance combined with the security of failsafe emergency backup operation capability. This hazardous location LED light fixture is constructed similarly to standard four bulb fluorescent fixtures, but now provides 30% more foot candles of illumination at eight feet than standard T8 lamps thanks to the addition of Larson Electronics' second generation LED tubes. As well as high output, these high performance LED light fixtures are designed as an easy upgrade from standard fluorescent fixtures and feature non-sparking aluminum construction for durability and corrosion resistance and heat and impact resistant Pyrex tube covers for reliable bulb protection. These fixtures also feature an integrally installed battery backup system located within the lamp housing which provides the industry standard 90 minutes of continued light operation in the event of power failures. This built in backup system maintains the onboard batteries in a constant full charge state, and when power is cut due to outages or similar events, the system automatically takes over and runs the light at reduced power for up to 90 minutes. Once power is restored, the system automatically recharges the onboard batteries and returns the fixture to normal operation. These explosion proof LED lights are an ideal upgrade alternative from standard explosion proof fluorescent lamps and offer improved light output, better efficiency, and greatly improved durability and lamp longevity with solid state construction and a 50,000+ hour lamp life rating. These fixtures are well suited to a wide variety of applications including industrial and marine locations, are approved Class 1 Division 1 and 2, UL 595 outdoor marine type approved, UL certified to US and Canada standards, and carry paint spray booth use approval as well. The EPL-EMG-48-4L-LED-G2 offers versatile power options, being capable of working with voltages ranging from 120V to 277V AC, and is also available in 12-24 VDC configuration for use with low voltage systems. Larson Electronics offers a variety of mounting options including standard surface mounting configurations and optional pendant mounting hardware, and as a manufacturer can custom configure fixtures according to the specific requirements of a given application.
"The EPL-EMG-48-4L-LED-G2 is the latest in the line of our most popular explosion proof explosion LED lights, featuring more than 5,000 lumens per fixture," said Rob Bresnahan with LarsonElectronics.com. "During power outages, this explosion proof led light illuminates one LED bulb for 90 minutes at 900 lumens. The ability to automatically switch from normal power of 120V to 277V AC to battery back-up in hazardous areas during power outages is a design fit for any hazardous location."
