The low voltage explosion proof LED light is designed for rugged durability and low voltage operation with an IP66 rated waterproof machined aluminum housing and the ability to operate on either 12 or 24 volt DC current. Lightweight and small in size, this explosion proof light weighs only 4.5 lbs and measures just under 7 inches in diameter, yet produces 2,416 lumens of high quality light output despite its compact design. Magnalight also offers these lights with optional beam configurations and light color temperatures to allow operators to more finely tailor these units to their specific needs. Operators can choose from a 30 degrees spot beam for long distance or a 100 degrees beam for wide area coverage. A color temperature choice of 6500K CW, 4500K NW, or 3500K WW is available depending upon whether high intensity, natural looking output, or a more traditional light appearance similar to incandescent bulbs is desired. These LED lights operate at 31 watts with a 2.64 amp draw on a 12 volt circuit, and produce 2,416 lumens, making them ideal replacements for less durable and bulkier HID lamps that will not sacrifice output or efficiency for smaller size. The rugged aluminum housing is paired with an aluminum mounting bracket that provides easy mounting to flat surfaces in areas where space is at a premium, yet still allows operators to adjust the vertical positioning of the light once installed. An included 6 feet of connecting lead fitted with a standard two wire configuration provides simple hookup and ample length for connecting the unit to existing power sources. A Class 1 Division 2 Groups A, B, C, and D UL approval and UL 1598 certification makes this light compliant with regulations for use in hazardous locations where the light may be exposed to dusts and wet conditions. This light is an ideal alternative to high pressure sodium and metal halide units and provides the added efficiency and safety of low voltage operation for operators in hazardous environments who would like to upgrade the reliability and efficiency of their existing lighting systems.
"The HAL-31L-LV Class 1 Division 2 LED light has a small form factor and is ideal for small hazardous area locations that require low voltage lighting." said Rob Bresnahan with Larson Electronics' Magnalight.com. "This compact, hazardous location, LED light comes in either spot or flood and a variety of color temperatures."
