Larson Electronics' Magnalight Donates Equipment to Support the Marines Helping Marines Foundation's 4th Annual Fishing Tournament
KEMP, Texas, March 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Larson Electronics' Magnalight has donated a pair of industrial grade tower lights to the Marines Helping Marines Foundation in order to help support the foundations' 4th annual fishing tournament. This latest donation continues Larson Electronics' long standing history of supporting U.S. military personnel whether abroad or at home and underscores the Magnalight commitment to supporting service excellence.
Long time leader in industrial lighting Larson Electronics' Magnalight recently donated a pair of WAL-TP-1X6670-120-25 tripod mounted HID work lights to the Marines Helping Marines Foundation in support of their 4th annual fishing tournament to benefit veterans wounded in service. This contribution is in keeping with Magnalight's history of support for U.S. troops both deployed and at home, and allows Magnalight to provide support outside of the battle zone as well as within it. Magnalight military spotlights have been an integral part of military escalation of force kits for several years, and in many instances Magnalight has donated their HML series of spotlights to platoons and personnel in need of effective tactical lighting, as well as matched privately purchased spotlight donations with their own contributions. This contribution of work area lighting supports the Marines Helping Marines Foundation in their efforts to provide seriously wounded veterans with an opportunity to participate in a professionally organized fishing tournament where veterans are paired up with pro anglers for a day of competitive fishing as well as fun and camaraderie. This event is scheduled to take place on May 19th at the Anchor Marina in North East Maryland, and proceeds go to covering event expenses, prizes for winning participants, and helping MHM support wounded veterans in Balboa and Bethesda Naval Hospitals and Brooke and Walter Reed Medical Centers. This event is open to the public and allows participants to show their support for active troops as well as contribute to their support during their rehabilitation and conclusion of military service. The Magnalight lighting equipment donated here will allow event organizers to illuminate the proceedings during the early AM hours when preparations are taking place and the sun has yet to rise, allowing organizers to get an early head start. The Marines Helping Marines Foundation is a nonprofit organization that assists wounded veterans, and Larson Electronics has expressed great appreciation at having been given this opportunity to participate.
"I recognize the sacrifices the men and women of the Armed Forces make every day to protect the freedom we all enjoy," said Rob Bresnahan with Larson Electronics' Magnalight.com. "The Marines Helping Marines Foundation specifically works to help veterans who have been wounded in action; our contribution to their annual fishing tournament is our way of saluting these heroes."
