Largest Tiny Home Exhibit in the Midwest Coming to Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The tiny home movement, where people are choosing to significantly downsize the space they live in, is moving its way to the Circle City March 24-26, 2017 at the Midwest Outdoor Expo. This movement is gaining interest not just for its novelty, but also for the allure of reduced costs, reduced environmental impact, and a simpler lifestyle. The typical American home is around 2,600 square feet, whereas the typical small or tiny house is between 100 and 400 square feet.
At the largest outdoor expo in the Midwest, among hundreds of other attractions and exhibits, Lucas Oil Stadium will host the Tiny Hometown Exhibit. There will be over 13 home/structures displayed indoors plus more outdoors. Anyone with an interest in this popular movement will not want to miss Mike Bedsole of Tiny House Chattanooga, as seen on popular shows and publications such Tiny House Listings, Tiny House Swoon, 'turning tiny' book, local news stations and Tiny House Magazine, who will be speaking on all the ins and out of tiny home living. Bedsole will also be an expo exhibitor, showcasing his work and passion in the world of tiny homes. There will be many additional seminars to help your project from start to finish.
In conjunction with the Tiny Home speakers, exhibit and educational information, a tiny home build will take place across the street from Lucas Oil Stadium throughout three day event. The contributing and gracious sponsors for this effort include Home Depot, the largest home improvement retail chain store in the United State; Behr Paints, a supplier of architectural paint and exterior wood care products to the United States and Canadian do-it-yourself markets; Tiny House Chattanooga, tiny home builders based in Tennessee who create the most modern, custom-designed Tiny Homes on the market today; Volstrukt, lightweight steel tiny home frame manufacturer; Hine Sight Productions, event productions team with over 40 years experience in the outdoor world; and Trailer Made, industry leader in custom design, custom fabricated, and tiny house trailers.
The best part of this live build? All of these contributing sponsors are teaming up with the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Department of Indiana Charity to give the finished Tiny Home to a disabled Veteran!
For the first time ever, experience Indianapolis' amazing skyline from one of two tethered Hot Air Balloons at Lucas Oil Stadium and see the Indianapolis skyline like no one has before. Other adventurous and family-friend activates will include a rock wall climbing, bungee trampoline, zipline, face painting, magic shows, mascots and an inflatable park. The Kid Zone is one you don't want to miss.
Admission is $14 for adults, $5 ages 4-15, free for children 3 and under.
