MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- In spite of large declines in revenue, the nineteenth largest temporary healthcare staffing companies generated $4.2 billion in sales. With the total healthcare staffing segment generating $8.2 billion in revenue, AMN Healthcare is still the industry segment leader. AMN saw its U.S. healthcare staffing revenues decline more than 20% year over year, but remains the segment giant ahead of CHG Healthcare. Staffing Industry Analysts' groups healthcare staffing companies into four sub-segments: per diem nurse, travel nurse, allied health and locum tenens. AMN is the largest in travel nursing and overall largest temporary healthcare staffing company.
