Largest Surgical Products Trade Show in US Names Six Exhibitors as Best in Show

Perioperative nurses appreciate design, staff, and commitment to patient safety and the environment

DENVER, April 19, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) has tallied the votes of their members who attended the association's annual Congress at the newly expanded Pennsylvania Convention Center, March 18 – 24, 2011. The largest annual gathering of perioperative registered nurses in the world creates a competitive environment for surgical product exhibitors vying for the attention and recognition of these influential customers.

Six companies, out of more than 500 on an exhibit floor of 800,000 square feet, were selected. They are:

• Ascent: A Stryker Sustainability Solution for "Most Green Product"
• 3M Healthcare for "Most Innovative Product"
• Cadmet, Inc. for "Best Inline Booth"
• Sandel Medical Industries for "Best Support to Patient Safety"

This year's AORN Congress was attended by 5,266 perioperative registered nurses and 5,353 exhibitors.  During the multi-day event, the OR nurses attend education sessions to earn credit hours, as they meet and talk to the manufacturers of current and new products for surgery and operating rooms.
