Honda North America's Highest Ranking Female Engineer to Join Board of Leading Technology Innovator
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- EWI has announced the appointment of Lara Minor to its Board of Directors. She replaces Rodger McKain of LG Fuel Cell Systems (US), Inc., who retires from the EWI Board after 15 years of service.

Minor, Principal Engineer and Senior Director of Technology Outreach at Honda R&D Americas, Inc., has long been a leader in design and program development in the automotive industry. She was instrumental in establishing the company's first fundamental research laboratory in North America, Honda Research Institute, U.S.A. Prior to her current position, she held several posts in engineering and program management including Design Leader on the immensely popular Pilot, the first Honda full-size SUV to enter the US market. Most recently, her work has focused on expanding cooperative opportunities between Honda and its domestic partners, and has led to unique collaborative relationships resulting in improvements in vehicle quality, fuel economy, and customer safety. Minor holds a degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from The Ohio State University, and is active in promoting joint university/corporate research efforts as well as opportunities for women in engineering.
