LANSING, Mich., Aug. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- CASE Credit Union staff, led by the Community Activity Team, raised $4,936.14 for The House of Promise – a local non-profit organization that rescues trafficked victims and empowers them to become healed, restored and successful.
During July's All-Staff Meeting, members of the Community Activity Team presented the check to Shari Montgomery, who is the Founder and CEO of The House of Promise.
"Because of organizations like CASE Credit Union, I am able to watch the girls' lives change every day, they now have a safe place to heal," said Montgomery. "They also realize that no one here wants anything from them, other than us just wanting to love them."
CASE Credit Union is committed to the credit union's philosophy of "people helping people."
"With the trafficking issue being so critical in Michigan, it's vital to raise awareness on the growing number of victims," stated Jeffrey Benson, President/CEO. "We are inspired by the work The House of Promise is doing and are proud to support them."
