MARLTON, N.J., Nov. 30, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- ONPATH Technologies, the leader in scalable connectivity and monitoring solutions for high performance networks, announced today that its Universal Connectivity System (UCS) platform was chosen by the Tactical Data Link Interoperability Test Center (TDLITC) at Langley Air Force Base. The ONPATH solution saved the TDLITC critical time, improved overall security, and increased utilization of existing resources, enabling their workforce to efficiently handle the ever-increasing workload placed on their mission-critical systems.

TDLITC consists of multiple operationally fielded command and control systems, tactical data link gateways, and a host of simulation and support equipment. The links between equipment in their facility provide the real-time, encrypted communications between military platforms that allow advanced situational awareness and digital command and control in combat situations. The 82nd Communications Support Squadron's Software Test Element (82 CSS) is responsible for standards and interoperability compliance testing for the Air Force.
"The ONPATH UCS solution allows us to integrate each Command and Control, Weapon System, Gateway, and simulation support system into one dynamic interface for a much more flexible test environment," said Terry Elhajj, Chief, Testbed Infrastructure Element. "This solution has enabled us to migrate from a slow patch-and-test facility to a fast and more secure state-of-the-art test environment. We are now able to optimize the utilization of our critical network resources, including over a dozen tactical data link simulators, five radar simulators, six operational C2 systems and Gateways, GFE terminals and radios – to provide realistic tactical combat scenarios on each network link."
"ONPATH is pleased to have our Universal Connectivity System increase the speed and security of the 82 CSS' important mission at Langley," said Brian McCann, CEO of ONPATH Technologies. "The work they do is critical to the safety and success of our armed forces. Helping them save time with the vital scenario changes will also enable them to better manage their growing test requirements."
