Langan Opens in White Plains to Support Westchester County, New York State and Western Connecticut
Chuck Utschig and His Team to Run the New Office
ELMWOOD PARK, N.J., June 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Langan officially announced that it has opened a new office in White Plains, where the firm has a long history of supporting major development projects. Chuck Utschig, a site/civil engineer with 30 years of experience in Westchester County, joins Langan as an Associate, and will lead the new office, which consists of his entire team: Michael Finan, Jaryd Moran, and Matthew Checca.
Initially, the group will operate in a temporary location, 30 Glenn Street, White Plains, until a permanent White Plains address is finalized in a couple months. Langan plans to expand its presence in the Hudson Valley and actively support new and current clients in Westchester. The new White Plains office also provides great connectivity between existing Langan offices in Elmwood Park, New Jersey; New York City; and New Haven, Connecticut.
"Success in our industry depends on talent and experience, and that is precisely what Chuck Utschig and his team brings to Langan, in a region that aligns well with our strategic growth plan," said David T. Gockel, President/CEO, Langan. "While we are very familiar with White Plains, the addition of this office presents a great opportunity to strengthen relationships and grow new business in Westchester County and the surrounding areas."
Two Langan Managing Principals, George P. Kelley and Ronald A. Fuerst, each with decades of experience in White Plains and Connecticut, will serve as Co-Principals in Charge of the new office, which will be fully integrated into Langan's operations. The new office is capable of providing Langan's full-suite of technical disciplines, including site/civil, geotechnical, environmental, and traffic engineering, as well as survey/3D laser scanning, natural resources permitting, and landscape architecture.
"I have always had great respect for Langan, and am honored to now be part of a firm that has grown and expanded brilliantly through the years," said Utschig. "I am extremely pleased that Mike, Jaryd, and Matthew have a new home where they can collaborate with top experts in the field, work on complex projects, and benefit from a culture that will value their input and enable their careers to flourish."
