Lane Bryant And Catherines To Partner With The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF)
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Plus size apparel brands Lane Bryant and Catherines will support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) once again by working to raise donations to fund lifesaving research.
This is the second year both brands will contribute donations that will support two research initiatives funded through BCRF: a project seeking to identify new therapeutic options for triple negative and BRCA-driven breast cancers, as well as a project aimed to improve the quality of life of female breast cancer survivors. In 2017, the brands raised over $700,000 in donations, surpassing an original goal of $500,000.
"Our campaign supporting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation is a meaningful initiative for Lane Bryant and Catherines, as the disease personally impacts many of our clients and associates," said Ascena Plus Fashion Segment President Eric Hunter. "To have an impact on valuable research aimed to improve the lives of breast cancer survivors and warriors through donations generated by our clients and associates is extremely humbling, and something we take great pride in."
Lane Bryant and Catherines will offer clients multiple opportunities to contribute to BCRF throughout the month of October:
Exclusive Merchandise: Lane Bryant and Catherines will offer BCRF-dedicated apparel in store and online, including jewelry and accessories. Lane Bryant's product assortment will include its exclusive brand, LIVI and its intimates brand, Cacique. Both brands will donate 10% of the purchase price of each piece (up to $200,000 for Lane Bryant) to BCRF.
Donate While Shopping: Clients who make a donation of $5 or more in store and online will receive a coupon book filled with exclusive offers for each respective brand. Both brands will also offer register round up opportunities to clients who shop in Lane Bryant and Catherines locations nationwide throughout October.
Exclusive Offer: Watch out for an exclusive Cacique Bra offer from Lane Bryant in October; on that day, the brand will donate $1 per Cacique bra purchased (up to $5,000) to BCRF.
Both brands will also celebrate survivors, those who continue to fight, and the researchers working toward a cure for the disease across their digital and social media channels.
