Lane & Associates Family Dentistry Donates $50,000 to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund
GARNER, N.C., March 28, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Lane & Associates Family Dentistry is a leading dental health services provider in North Carolina and fighter in the battle for Women's Cancer. This spring, Lane & Associates gave back to the community with a donation of $50,000 to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund during the 2019 Play4Kay basketball game.
Lane & Associates has been an active advocate of women's cancer research through North Carolina and has committed time and resources into funding companies like the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. After touring the Kay Yow Foundation and hearing how donations greatly impact the foundation, Lane & Associates became a mission partner and pledged to donate $50,000 a year for the next 3 years (2018-2020).
Dr. Don Lane, owner of Lane & Associates Family Dentistry, states, "Working with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund has been a fantastic opportunity and we love being able to contribute to women's cancer research through this amazing organization. Lane & Associates challenged its doctors, staff, and patients through social media and at each office to "Change the face of Cancer in North Carolina one coin at a time!" Each of the 29 offices located throughout Raleigh, Durham, Cary, and across North Carolina, competed to collect the most change with a goal of $1,000 each in support of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Offices went to social media dressing in all pink, holding social events for patients who were Cancer Survivors and Fighters, and created a mini-photo booth where patients could have their picture taken & donate $1 towards the fund.
On February 24th, Lane & Associates CEO, Dr. Raleigh Wright and Marketing Coordinator, Stephanie Klein, presented the $50,000 check during the UNC PLAY4KAY vs NC State women's basketball game at UNC Carmichael Arena. There to receive the donation was Stephanie Glance, Chief Executive Officer of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. The Kay Yow Cancer Fund is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization committed to the fight against all cancer affecting women.
