Lands' End Partners with the National Forest Foundation to Plant Nearly 400,000 Trees in Two National Forests

DODGEVILLE, Wis., April 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Forests are a natural treasure that is enjoyed throughout the United States. Since 1991, the non-profit National Forest Foundation (NFF) has worked with the U.S. Forest Service to care for the roughly 193-million acres of invaluable National Forests.

Today, Lands' End is announcing the commitment to fund an estimated 400,000 trees to be planted in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest in Northern Wisconsin and the Superior National Forest in Michigan's Upper Peninsula in partnership with the NFF.

50 Years, 50 Trees

To symbolize the tree planting in the two National Forests, Lands' End will also plant trees on its Dodgeville, Wisconsin, campus on Monday, April 22^nd on Earth Day.  The company, which is celebrating its 50^th anniversary, will plant 50 spruce and pine trees around the employee walking path that circles the company's campus.  NFF president, Bill Possiel, will join Lands' End CEO Edgar Huber and the company's 50 most tenured employees to ceremonially plant the first group of trees.
