Landrieu Praises President's Proposal for New Small Business Tax Cuts to Create Jobs
WASHINGTON, Jan. 29 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship Chair Mary L. Landrieu, D-La., today made the following comment in regard to President Obama's Small Business Jobs and Wages Tax Cut proposal to help create jobs:
"With more than a million small businesses eligible to take advantage of these tax credits, the proposal is an excellent way to spur small business job creation. The credits are also targeted to help small start-up companies, which have the greatest potential to create jobs.
"While I am enthusiastic about this proposal and its ability to help small firms hire new employees and grow our economy, it is one of many proposals on the table involving a new jobs tax credit. As this and other proposals develop, I plan to take a hard look at all of the job creation ideas to ensure the greatest number of small businesses are helped for the least cost."
