Landmark NYC Restaurant, Serendipity 3, Reacts to Frrrozen Hot Chocolate Copycats
NEW YORK, June 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Legendary restaurant and dessert Mecca, Serendipity 3, is known for their iconic Frrrozen Hot Chocolate, the original frozen concoction that has had the famous Chicago-based talk show host "swinging from the lights!" She "bucket listed" it, the Mayor of New York City "proclamated" it, the stars of the hit movie Serendipity fell in love over it, people have been married in it, and generations have grown up on it. Frrrozen Hot Chocolate has become synonymous with Serendipity 3.
Now come the mimics (who shall not be named) with little creativity who are trying to ride the coattails of this New York City institution.
We all know that there is only ONE true Frrrozen Hot Chocolate and that was created by Serendipity 3 in 1954. Owner/founder Stephen Bruce said, "Over the years we have served over 10 million Frrrozen Hot Chocolates. Others may try to copy us, but no one can match our secret blend of 14 cocoas that make Serendipity 3 Frrrozen Hot Chocolate an iconic original."
Loyal fans of Serendipity 3 Frrrozen Hot Chocolate have expressed outrage and pledged their allegiance to the one and only original.
"Once when I was very sick, before they had Frrrozen Hot Chocolate to make at home, the people at Serendipity cut off the top of a milk carton, filled it with Frrrozen Hot Chocolate, wrapped it in aluminum foil, and sent it to me. I must say some of the most silly, fun times I can remember were had right under the hanging lamps," said one Oscar-winning actress and singer.
"I was excited to have kids of my own so I had a good excuse to come to Serendipity and have ... a Frrrozen Hot Chocolate," one supermodel stated.
"You have heard it from me, the world traveler and chocoholic who never plans to go into recovery: There is ONLY ONE frozen hot chocolate and it's found in a place that spells it with 3 R's and that's the place called Serendipity 3 ... those of us who have experienced Frrrozen Hot Chocolate will know that there is only one such drink and it is as unique as the place that serves it on 60th Street in NYC," said the premier nationally syndicated radio travel show host Stephanie Abrams.
"So there you have it. Imitation is the biggest form of flattery. To all the imitators out there - go choke on a Munchkin!" concluded Bruce.
