Land in Verona business district set for Nov. 22 auction
VERONA, Va., Nov. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Approximately 137 acres of land near Interstate 81 in Verona's business district in Augusta County will be sold at auction Friday, Nov. 22, with Woltz & Associates marketing the property and managing the sale.
The land has frontage on U.S. Route 11 and is a short distance from the Augusta County Government Center and Green Hills Industrial Park. It will sell in tracts of 1.9, 22.4 and 113.4 acres.
"We think this land will be very attractive to investors, because it adjoins both the business district and some residential areas. It has a 1.91-acre parcel with frontage on Route 11 and is zoned General Business. We believe this has potential because there are a number of other nearby businesses, and it's just about a half mile from Interstate 81," said Jim Woltz, president of the auction company.
A second 22.4-acre parcel is primarily wooded and has a four-bedroom home and a spring. The third is a wooded 113.4-acre tract bordered by residential communities. Both tracts have marketable timber and are zoned SF, Single Family Residential.
"It would just take a little clearing on that 113-acre tract to provide some spectacular views for residential development," said Woltz.
The auction will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22 at The Club at Ironwood. Woltz personnel will be available to guide inspections and provide detailed information on Nov. 8 and 15. Individuals interested in additional information may visit www.woltz.com or call 800-551-3588.
