Lake County (OH) Visitors Bureau Presents Overseas
PAINESVILLE, Ohio, Nov. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- EuroChrie 18 Hospitality and Tourism Educators Conference November 5-9, 2018 (https://www.eurochrie18.org), in Dublin, Ireland welcomed a new face to the presenters forum. Lake County Visitors Bureau Executive Director, Scott H. Dockus' paper: Creating a Marketing Initiative for an Economically Distressed County: A Case Study of Meigs County, OH was accepted as part of the conference poster presentations. Additional poster presentations included presenters from Maine, Iceland, South Africa, and other parts of the U.S. and the World.
The conference was the first for Dockus with the paper co-edited with Kent State University Associate Professor Dr. Ning-Kung Chuang of Hospitality and Tourism. "This was a great experience and a wonderful opportunity to learn from industry leaders and academics within the hospitality and tourism realm," said Dockus. Dockus added, "although this study was written and prepared for Meigs County, a great amount of the work can and will be applied to Lake County as we develop various tourism initiatives, which include Motorcycle Tourism."
In addition to the poster presentations, The five day conference included various workshops, social opportunities, and presentations from industry leaders.
