LADERA RANCH, Calif., June 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Ladera Sports Center announced today that the facility will host the 4th through 8th grade AAU boys' basketball West Coast Division II & III Nationals tournament June 29 to July 2.
"Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with everything needed to enhance the tournament experience for competitors, coaches and spectators alike," said Steve Williams, chief executive officer of Ladera Sports Center. "The facility has TV monitors to view live games and follow tournament schedules, video recording and playback areas for competitive use, and live webcasts for additional exposure. Each of the Ladera Sports Center courts can provide seating for 62 to 84 spectators to get the most out of the tournament experience."
Spectator admission to the West Coast Division II & III Nationals tournament is $15 per adult and $8 per youth, ages 6 to 17. Children aged five and under are free. Ladera Sports Center's All-Star Café, which offers a variety of snacks and drinks, will be open during the event.
"The AAU is a recognized leader in youth basketball for providing competitive tournaments that deliver in-game experience, skill development and the potential for recruitment exposure to each player," said Holly Schwartz, one of the owners of Ladera Sports Center. "We are excited to host this tournament and help young athletes grow."
Since its opening in 2016, Ladera Sports Center has become an increasingly popular venue for a wide range of athletic competitions, camps and classes, open gym and private training for basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, dance, pickleball and more. The sports center is also home to the San Clemente Volleyball Club, an award-winning club for boys and girls ages 10 to 18; Prime Volleyball Club, the host of club teams, camps and clinics for boys and girls of all ages whose staff includes three coaches with USA Olympic Team coaching experience; and Team Nikos, a youth AAU club program with 16 teams ranging from 2nd to 12th grades.
