LADERA RANCH, Calif., June 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Ladera Sports Center announced today that Steve Harris, a 25-year veteran of basketball coaching and business management, has been promoted to chief operating officer. Tony Nguyen has also joined the company as audio visual manager, bringing more than 16 years of experience to his role.

"I couldn't be more pleased to announce the promotion of Mr. Harris, as well as the addition of Tony Nguyen, who is a very accomplished audio visual professional, to Ladera Sports Center."
Prior to joining Ladera Sports Center as general manager earlier this year, Harris spent seven years as the director of operations of boys and girls basketball for Ocean View High School in Huntington Beach, Calif. While there, he operated and increased the girls' varsity tournament held by the school from 13 teams to 38 teams, and started a junior varsity and freshman/sophomore tournament that grew to include 50 teams, both of which increased fundraising revenue for the school. Harris also served as head coach of the junior varsity girls' basketball team, a position he still holds, and spent six years as head coach of the freshman/sophomore girls' basketball team. Prior to Ocean View High School, he coached the boys' varsity basketball team of Villa Park High School, served as assistant coach for San Diego State University's men's basketball team, and was head student manager of the University of California, Los Angeles men's basketball team. Harris earned his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Throughout his career, Nguyen has served in an audio visual engineer or related role with Skyloft, Mozambique Restaurants, Daryl's House, Anaheim's Honda Center, Hen House Studios and Interscope Records, among others. Nguyen earned his recording arts certificate from Golden West College, and associate of arts certificate from Orange Coast College.
