Lacework Names Dan Hubbard Chief Security Architect

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Nov. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Lacework™, the industry's first solution to bring automation, speed and scale to cloud security, today announced the appointment of Dan Hubbard to the role of Chief Security Architect. Hubbard has been an innovator in internet security for more than 20 years, with expertise spanning all areas of security from reputation systems to large scale data mining of the internet and advanced classification systems. As Chief Security Architect, Hubbard is responsible for overseeing the security solution strategy on top of the Lacework cloud security platform.

Before joining Lacework, Hubbard was the CTO of OpenDNS, one of the early cloud-native security solutions. After the company was acquired by Cisco, Hubbard stayed on board to serve as Director of Engineering. At OpenDNS he expanded the company's breadth and depth of knowledge of security and products, assisted in delivering disruptive new technologies and drove innovation company-wide. Prior to OpenDNS, he was the CTO at Websense, where he was responsible for research and development of existing and new technologies, investigating technology trends and driving innovation globally across the company. He also conceived, built and managed the Websense Security Labs.
