Labor Leader Honored at San Francisco Public Utilities Commission
SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission passed a resolution honoring Ron Myers for his distinguished career working for the Laborers International Union of North America (LIUNA).

Ron Myers worked as a Laborer from 1972 to 1989. During this time, Myers specialized in sinking shafts, including one project with Cementation USA, Inc. in San Manuel, AZ that went down 8500 feet. From 1989 to the present, Myers has worked for LIUNA, Pacific Southwest Region as Special International Representative. In Myer's tenure as a LIUNA representative, he has provided expert opinion and consultation for employers and public entities for several billion dollars' worth of tunnel projects.

Myers provided an instrumental role in developing the SFPUC Water System Improvement Project Labor Agreement, which governs over $3 billion in regional projects presently in construction. In addition, Myers provided leadership and valued consultation for the Miner Tender Preparedness Program.
