Full Disclosure Network Video Preview (10 minutes)
WASHINGTON, April 29 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Full Disclosure® presents a ten minute online video preview from a unique two-part cable TV interview with former L.A. Sheriff Sergeant Richard Valdemar contrasted with the actual experience of freelance journalist and national security expert Janet Levy who toured Guantanamo Bay's infamous detention center. Also featured are Full Disclosure's clips from the exclusive interview with jailed attorney Richard I Fine in L.A. County Central Men's jail. You'll learn first hand of the severe treatment of Dr. Richard I Fine in the custody of L.A. County Sheriff Leroy Baca. Watch video URL: http://www.fulldisclosure.net/Programs/563.php
LASD Sgt. Richard Valdemar was the supervising Sergeant during the custody of newspaper reporter William T. Farr on the Charles Manson case who worked for both the Los Angeles Times and Herald Examiner. Farr was held in "coercive confinement" for civil contempt of court for 47 days and won his freedom in a 1974 U S Supreme Court decision that ruled no person could be held over 5 days in "Coercive Confinement" for civil contempt of court.
This two-part series reveals the contrasting jail policies and conditions that existed when William T. Farr was jailed versus those of Richard I. Fine who has been held illegally for fourteen months and details how the elected officials and judges can abuse their power to selectively punish political prisoners.
U.S. SUPREME COURT ALLOWS SOLITARY "COERCIVE CONFINEMENT" TO CONTINUE:
For jailed attorney on civil contempt case who said "I cannot believe that they denied my application for a stay of execution as it violates U.S. Supreme Court Precedent of the release of William T. Farr by Justice William Douglas in the same situation in 1974. However I am encouraged that they did not dismiss my appeal, which indicates that I will win the appeal. The reply response from L.A. County Sheriff Baca is due on May 17, 2010 unless he waives his right to respond. The Sheriff has never opposed my Writ of Habeas Corpus in this case."
