Top Cops Bring Toys to Needy Children from Santa

Sheriff Lee Baca & Santa will thank his patrol station captains from all over the Southland for collecting thousands of toys for impoverished children in the inner city. |

Industry Station is the lead coordinator for the toy drive, and they are joined by all patrol stations: Santa Clarita, Altadena, Lomita, Malibu/Lost Hills, Avalon, Palmdale, West Hollywood, Norwalk, Lakewood, Compton, Temple, Carson, Walnut/Diamond Bar, Crescenta Valley, Pico Rivera, Cerritos, South Los Angeles, East Los Angeles and Century. |

The Century Regional Detention Facility inmates also made and donated blankets, tote bags and dolls for the children. |

Sheriff Deputies coming together from Patrol Stations throughout the county to donate hundreds of thousands of brand new toys for underprivileged boys and girls. For the majority of these kids, that toy and visit with Santa will be their only Christmas this year. |

The Sheriff will also announce an official partnership with the Fred Jordan Mission which for 70 years has been feeding millions of homeless and poor people daily. Members of the Sheriff's Department have been volunteering their time and energy to give back to the homeless and poor on Skid Row. The toys will be distributed to thousands of impoverished children on Skid Row at the Fred Jordan Missions' 65th Annual World's Largest Toy Party for underprivileged children on Saturday, December 21, 2013. This Christmas Toy Party has provided millions of toys for hundreds of thousands of poor children. |
