SANTA CLARA, Calif, March 15, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Kylli, Inc. is inviting residents to their second design workshop for 3005 Democracy Way.
Santa Clarans are invited to attend a Design Workshop on Monday, March 18 at Mission College to contribute ideas for a mixed-use urban neighborhood to be built near Levi's Stadium and California's Great America amusement park. Replacing an existing office-only campus, Kylli envisions a vibrant community offering a mix of homes, shopping, dining, offices, educational facilities and open space with easy access to transit and trails.
"3005 Democracy Way will provide a vibrant new neighborhood in the emerging North Bayshore District where homes, offices, shops and services come together in a seamless solution for balanced, thoughtful development," said Randi Gerson, vice president of real estate development for Kylli. "We want to listen, engage and collaborate with Santa Clarans so we can weave their important feedback into the fabric of the community we are building."
The workshop begins at 6 p.m. and will focus on designing a complete community, exploring design features of homes, offices, shops, restaurants and educational facilities and the kinds of experiences people would like to see. The workshop will be an opportunity to share and discuss ideas, meet the project team and continue to help shape the project. Attendees will participate in break out groups where they will be invited to contribute their ideas.
The workshop will be led by the Kylli team and project consultants. It will be held in room TAV130, 3000 Mission College Blvd. on the Mission College campus in Santa Clara.
This is Kylli's second year in a series of conversations with neighbors to gather input. Previous community meetings have generated important suggestions from residents.
When complete, the project will feature 3.65 million square feet of office space, 6,000 housing units (with an affordable component), 400,000 square feet of retail, 8 acres of parks and open space, a hotel, and education and daycare uses. The site's environmentally conscious design features a network of paths to encourage walking and biking and cut down on vehicle traffic.
Residents interested in attending the March 18 Design Workshop are asked to RSVP via email at [email protected] to receive parking information and other event details. To sign up for updates please visit www.3005DemocracyWay.com.
