Marvin began his U-Haul career in June 2003 as a customer service representative (CSR) for U-Haul Moving and Storage at Franklin (700-076). Several months later, he transferred as a CSR to U-Haul Moving and Storage of Gresham (704-041). In August 2004, Marvin was promoted to general manager (GM) of U-Haul Moving and Storage at Sandy Blvd., and several years later was promoted to field relief manager (FRM) for U-Haul Company of Portland (Co. 704). In August 2007, Marvin returned as GM to 704-041, where he worked for almost a year before returning to Co. 704 as FRM, the position he held until his recent promotion. Today, Marvin will oversee all operations of UHC of Southern Oregon including truck, trailer and storage rentals. With his hard drive for achievement and strong leadership skills, Marvin certainly will drive Team 700 to success.
"With Kyle's experience and positive can-do attitude, I know he will be a great asset and leader of his team," ADVP McIntier affirmed. "We are very excited to have him taking over as president."
In assuming his new role as president, Marvin is most enthusiastic about the opportunity to seek out potential new locations, and further develop existing U-Haul centers for continued success. Marvin says his company is blessed with an excellent core group of area field managers (AFM) and GMs who share his enthusiasm and drive in becoming a larger, more profitable company. Marvin thinks that by focusing on the current strengths within the company and continuing to apply them throughout, he and his team will be able to grow together in order to reach new levels of success. He plans to harness his team members' high energy and knowledge, and by doing so, he is confident U-Haul Company of Southern Oregon will be able to accomplish any goal. Marvin plans to follow company policies and procedures and execute them as efficiently and economically possible.
"The love for my family and this company are my two driving forces in life," Marvin stated. "After all, this company was founded on hardworking, independent business owners who wanted more for their families, which remains true to this day."
