A US Navy veteran of over 30 years before retirement in 2004, Kurt has 40 years of experience in aviation. In his dual role, Kurt is responsible for the following: auditing, consulting, customer service, cost control, implementation of safety and environmental management systems, EHS, process improvement, program management, training employees and more.

Furthermore, Kurt is a Registered Environmental Manager and is a member of the National Registry of Environmental Professionals and the American Society of Safety Engineers. In his spare time, he enjoys biking and kayaking. In addition, Kurt volunteers his service to community organizations such as the American Red Cross and Spokane Rotary Club 21.

Heavily trained and educated in his industry, Kurt received his Master's degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Texas at Dallas. He also holds an MBA from Central Michigan University in addition to his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Miami.
