CHESEAUX-SUR-LAUSANNE, Switzerland and PHOENIX, July 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Kudelski Security, the cybersecurity division within the Kudelski Group (SIX:KUD.S), today announced two appointments that expand their advanced consulting and research services to meet the growing demand from enterprise and public sector clients. The latest cybersecurity professionals to join Kudelski Security include Nathan Hamiel, who will serve as Director of Research & Advisory Services and Jason Hicks, who will serve as Director of Advisory Services.
Key to Kudelski Security's strategic positioning as a provider of intelligent cybersecurity is the company's ability to carry out fundamental and applied research to bring integrity and depth to the new solutions and approaches brought to market. The appointment of Nathan Hamiel is significant in this regard, helping cement Kudelski Security's position as a leading pure-play cybersecurity provider for enterprise and public sector bodies. As Director of Research & Advisory Services, Nathan Hamiel will guide Kudelski Security's research efforts to ensure they are aligned with and address current industry needs. Hamiel has been a sitting member of the Black Hat Review Board for more than nine years and has spoken at security events around the world, including Black Hat, DefCon, ShmooCon, ToorCon, SecTor, OWASP and many others. Prior to Kudelski Security, Hamiel held security leadership positions at Optiv and FishNet Security, and founded Hexsec, a provider of application and enterprise security, process improvement and management expertise.
Joining him in the leadership team is Jason Hicks, who joins as Director of Kudelski Security's Threat, Vulnerability and Risk consulting practice to advise clients on risk management strategies and expand the firm's engagement with top security executives across the United States. Prior to joining Kudelski Security, Hicks was the global CISO at Ares Management, a financial services company based in Los Angeles. An established industry veteran, Hicks previously held information security leadership positions at Optiv, St. Jude Medical, IBM and Kelly Services, among others.
"Kudelski Security's approach of disrupting the marketplace has enabled us to maintain incredible growth since our expansion into the United States," said Rich Fennessy, chief executive officer, Kudelski Security. "Purposeful innovation is at the heart of our company culture, and it is thanks in part to this innovative spirit that Kudelski Security is able to recruit some of the sector's most capable security professionals at a time when the competition is battling with a growing global talent gap. Nathan and Jason both bring proven track records of success and we are excited to have them join the Kudelski Security team."
The new appointments come during a time of steady growth and momentum for Kudelski Security. In addition to the Client Advisory Council launched in December 2017, Kudelski Security introduced the industry's first Cyber Business Management Program – Secure Blueprint, in May. The pioneering product helps CISOs easily execute a business-driven cybersecurity program, prioritizing investments based on maturity and residual risk.
Since expanding to the U.S. in 2016, Kudelski Security continues to increase its strong foothold in the market, offering its growing Fortune 500 client base unique capabilities and a plan to change how clients work with providers to design, deploy and manage cybersecurity. Kudelski Security provides world-class advisory services delivered through four core areas: Strategy & Governance; Threat, Vulnerability & Risk Management; Incident Response & Cyber Resilience; and Strategic Cyber Staffing.
