- Program to Be Announced February 27 at Chicago Innovation Event, Innovator's Guide to Chicago at the Kaplan Institute- Unique Program Design Includes Development of Innovation Project
CHICAGO, Feb. 25, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The Chicago-based innovation consulting firm Kuczmarski Innovation, in partnership with Illinois Institute of Technology's Ed Kaplan Institute for Innovation and Technological Entrepreneurship are launching Managing and Activating Innovation: Executive Education That Gets Results, a creative program designed to provide innovation teams with the skills, tools and resources to put concrete, innovative ideas to work immediately with senior level buy-in and support.
Registration is now open for participants of the inaugural Summer and Fall 2019 programs.
"Without innovation champions at multiple levels of the organization, it becomes impossible to gain traction towards making real change," said Tom Kuczmarski, President of Kuczmarski Innovation. "This course will give innovation teams the resources and guidance they need to make tangible progress on innovation projects with the underlying support of their leadership."
A distinctive feature of Managing and Activating Innovation: Executive Education That Gets Results is the way it includes multiple individuals from each participating firm; the program includes:
- A 5-day course spread over a two-month period, in which teams will begin an innovation initiative. After 2.5 days of learning innovation best practices and principles, teams will return to their organizations to take their projects to the next level before reconvening for another 2.5-days of personalized coaching and refinement of their progress.
- Prior to teams attending the course, a senior executive from their organization will be required to attend a 2-day course focusing on innovation mindset and strategy. These leaders will create a working innovation strategy, a recommendation for their innovation team's project, and criteria to assure that the program will yield success.
"This unique model works so well because it connects and engages a critical mass of interested parties across various levels of the business," said Howard Tullman, Executive Director of the Kaplan Institute and former CEO of Chicago's renowned 1871 business incubator. "It sends an important and empowering message throughout the culture: the best leaders don't create followers; they create more leaders."
Registration for the course is now available; pricing structures incentivize multiple team members from a single organization. If interested in participating, visit www.kuczmarski.com for more details.
