Kuboo Obtains Exclusive License For AquilaVisions School Safety App, Which Notifies Teachers, Law Enforcement And Fire Departments Of Problems With A Tap On The Smart Phone.
The Patent pending system can alert unlimited persons simultaneously, allowing the school to notify the entire faculty of a major problem within seconds.
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., April 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Kuboo Inc., DBA Safe Communications Inc., (OTCPink:SGTB) announced today that they obtained an exclusive license from AquilaVision utilizing their management communication system called OTTER to enhance school notification and monitoring of serious incidents. The OTTER system would go hand in hand with Safe Communications' www.AnonymousTip.com. Anonymous Tips currently has over 1200 schools and districts signed up, but is a system controlled by a single person, usually a child, wanting to report an incident. The Tips site is very active and there are new school systems signing up regularly. The two companies will share the revenues brought in by Safe Communications.
Safe Communications and AquilaVision Corporation teamed up to produce a one-of-a-kind downloadable mobile application that resides as a mobile app on administrators', teachers', security personnel or staff members' iPhone or Android. The app provides immediate & necessary communication between schools and emergency responders in the event of serious school emergencies or threats to students, teachers and staff, i.e. shooting, hostage, suicide, threat and terrorism, disaster, fire, evacuation, etc. The app will put school officials in control at the heart of a serious event. The app can also be used for other notifications, such as a school closing due to inclement weather.
The application offers a user-friendly interface that allows teachers and school administrators to request the appropriate emergency responders based on the severity of the situation. For example, if a minor accident at the playground were to occur, a user can, with a touch of a button on their smart phone, alert the paramedics and ambulance if necessary. In a more extreme situation, such as a hostage situation or shooting, users can alert police, fire departments, and even other schools and districts. In a matter of seconds, messages are sent via text, email, phone and even radio network, alerting all concerned and connected parties at the same time.
In the event of an incident, the ability for teachers and administrators to contact the appropriate organizations and individuals without delay can mean that the risk of damage, injury, and even death is greatly reduced.
AquilaVision partners include Verizon Wireless, Thermal Radar, Deaf Link, CNH, TouchPay and others. AquilaVision builds customized software solutions to move information from its source to people or systems that need to have it. Source information can be anything conveyed over a network: equipment status, asset location, sensor data, phone calls, emails, etc. This information can be evaluated, analyzed and manipulated by complex business rules. The result is information passed along to systems or personnel most closely associated with the results. Security Events detected by AquilaVision's OTTER technology can be securely relayed to the appropriate parties within seconds. AquilaVision also provides PIN protected accounts so that private information is protected and relayed only to the approved destination.
Pricing for this service with unlimited alerts will cost $85.00 per month for up to 40 responders, or $170.00 a month for 100 responders.
John Venners, CEO of KUBOO, said, "We are delighted to offer this unique service to schools nationwide as they seek more efficient ways to monitor and report incidents." KUBOO's AnonymousTips.com free reporting service is currently being utilized by over 1,200 schools/school districts in all 50 states.
Chuck Eubank, CEO of AquilaVision, said, "KUBOO (Safe Communications) is the ideal partner to offer this product to our school systems. The OTTER system has been successfully deployed with sensitive governmental agencies and major companies, such as Verizon."
