Starting on Veteran's Day, Thursday, November 11 through Sunday, November 14, for each Kronos gyros purchased at our more than 100 participating restaurants, 50 cents will be donated to the Fisher House™ Foundation. How can you help? Simply visit: www.KronosGyros4Heroes.com for a participating restaurant near you and go enjoy a Kronos gyros.
The Fisher House™ Foundation is a non-profit organization supporting military and their families at the most stressful times - during the hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury. There are currently 50 Fisher Houses located on military installations and VA medical centers across the country. Many more houses are under construction or in design.
"Whether it is lunch, dinner or a snack, Kronos gyros are a perfect way to indulge in an appetizing sandwich and give back to our military," said Michael Austin, chief executive officer of Kronos Foods. "We hope customers will take this opportunity to visit one of more than 100 participating locations across the country to help us honor our military and their families surrounding Veteran's Day."
A traditional Greek sandwich, a gyros is made with selected beef and lamb meat seasoned with zesty spices, thinly sliced and piled high onto a fluffy handmade flatbread pita. A traditional gyros sandwich is topped with onions and tomatoes, as well as a flavorful creamy cucumber sauce called Tzatziki or gyros sauce.
The Kronos Gyros 4 Heroes promotion is just one initiative implemented by Kronos Foods that benefits Fisher House. Earlier this year, Kronos officially announced the company's commitment to forging an on-going relationship with the Fisher House Foundation by hosting a series of local events and national activities, giving Americans the chance to support the organization while celebrating their love for gyros.
"Our relationship with Kronos Foods is helping Fisher House garner both local and national attention helping us achieve our goal of ensuring military families get the support and care needed during one of their greatest times in need," said Cindy Campbell, public affairs director for Fisher House.

About Fisher House
The Fisher House™ program is a unique private-public partnership that supports America's military in their time of need. Because members of the military and their families are stationed worldwide and must often travel great distances for specialized medical care, Fisher House™ Foundation donates "comfort homes," built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers. These homes enable family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful times - during the hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury. There is at least one Fisher House™ at every major military medical center to assist families in need and to ensure that they are provided with the comforts of home in a supportive environment. Annually, the Fisher House™ program helps 12,000 families and has made more than three million days of lodging available to family members since it originated in 1990.
