Kreyos Meteor, First Smartwatch With Two-Way Voice And Gesture Control, Exceeds Crowdfunding Goals In One Day

Launched Monday on Indiegogo, the Kreyos Meteor smartwatch – which is priced at special launch prices available only for a limited time – will be delivered to consumers before Christmas. 

Unlike early smartwatches that only have the ability to send one-way notifications, the Kreyos Meteor allows users to communicate back and forth on their smartwatch with friends and family via voice, text, email and social media.

Initial feedback from many buyers indicated that they were tired of waiting around for early smartwatches to give them the features they wanted.  And the Meteor, the only waterproof smartwatch to feature a microphone and speaker, has built-in motion control.

With its three-axis gyroscope and accelerometer, controlling the Meteor is as easy as moving a hand – up and down, left and right.  Users can change music, answer a call or check an alert, among other activities, with a simple movement.   Initially, four different wrist motions will come pre-configured with the Meteor and developers will have the freedom to build additional gestures into applications using Kreyos SDK.

In addition, the Kreyos Meteor has full activity tracking – enabling users to track goals achieved and share progress with their social network.  Designed to connect to any ANT+ or Bluetooth-enabled sensors, including heartbeat and blood-pressure monitors, the Meteor is designed to be a time-saver for anyone looking to get in shape or improve sports performance.

The Meteor, which easily pops out of its watchband, can fit into other colorful wearable accessories – all made of highly durable, waterproof silicone that is flexible and fun.   It is compatible with iPhone, Android and Windows smartphones, among others.
