GLENVIEW, Ill., April 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- America has voted and determined the "Single Best Town" in America! KRAFT Singles and Disney ABC Television Group are proud to announce that Three Lakes, Wis. has been selected as the winning town, taking home more than one-third of the total votes. After 10 finalists were chosen from more than 400 entries, consumers had four weeks to vote for their favorite town by visiting http://family.go.com/best-town-contest.
Known for its gleaming crystal clear waters and home to the world's largest chain of inland lakes, Three Lakes proved to have what it takes to be considered the "Single Best Town" in America. Nestled amidst a spectacular 650,000-acre national forest, this endearing close-knit community boasts a charming downtown lined with antique-styled lampposts, quaint shops and cozy restaurants.
This summer, Three Lakes will receive the ultimate block party with a 90-minute live performance by Lyric Street recording artists, Love And Theft, who are gearing up to tour with country superstars Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum starting April 23. ABC Daytime and SOAPnet's Soap Nation Tour will also stop in Three Lakes for the block party along with five ABC/SOAPnet Soaps Stars. Guests will enjoy American-inspired fare with KRAFT Singles, America's favorite brand of American cheese.
"Brian, Stephen and I are proud of the towns we grew up in and it's been eye opening to see so many Americans taking pride in what makes their hometowns special," says Eric Gunderson of country music trio Love And Theft. "We're especially excited to share in celebrating a uniquely American town like Three Lakes whose natural beauty is matched only by the big hearts of its people."
