Kraft Foods Chairman & CEO Irene Rosenfeld, Fortune's #1 Most Powerful Woman in Business, to Speak at The Executives' Club's October 26 Global Leaders Luncheon
CHICAGO, Oct. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Irene Rosenfeld, Chairman & CEO of Kraft Foods, recently named most powerful woman in business by Fortune magazine, will address The Executives' Club of Chicago at their October 26th Global Leaders Luncheon.
Rosenfeld's luncheon will focus largely on Kraft Foods' growth strategy and its decision to create two independent public companies next year. Her remarks follow last week's Executives' Club breakfast featuring Jeff Smisek, President & CEO of United Continental Holdings, who discussed the merger of United and Continental Airlines.
Northfield-based Kraft Foods, the world's second-largest food company, announced in August plans to divide and create two independent public companies: a high-growth global snacks business and a high-margin North American grocery business. The transaction is expected to be completed by year-end 2012.
At the October 26th luncheon, Rosenfeld will address the question that has been discussed in many corporate boardrooms since the economic collapse: How do we continue to grow in a down economy?
The sold-out attendance of 700 includes Chicago business and civic leaders. Sponsors include KPMG, Discover Financial Services, Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana, and Today's Chicago Woman.
