KPMG's Kimberly Davis-Riffe Named Among Influential Women in Housing by HousingWire
NEW YORK, Nov. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Kimberly Davis-Riffe, partner in KPMG LLP's Credit Risk service network and co-leader of the firm's Mortgage and Consumer Lending practice, has been named to HousingWire's 2014 list of "Influential Women in Housing," the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm announced today.
HousingWire, a respected industry news source covering the U.S. housing economy, first launched this annual recognition program in 2010 to honor individuals making notable contributions to their businesses and to the industry at-large. Winners have included "high-achieving women across the U.S. housing economy – from residential mortgage lending, servicing and investments to residential real estate," according to HousingWire. Davis-Riffe is in the company of notable past winners including Janet Yellen, Chair of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Congresswoman Maxine Waters, D-Calif., who were all named to the 2013 list.
"The mortgage landscape is currently going through and will continue to encounter tremendous changes over the next several years and companies are in need of the guidance that Kimberly can provide to address a vast array of market, regulatory and operational challenges," said Jitendra Sharma, Global Head of KPMG's Financial Risk Management Service Line. "Kimberly's deep knowledge and experience in mortgage origination and servicing, and loan-loss assessment and procedures is invaluable to our mortgage clients in this changing business landscape."
With over twenty years of experience concentrating solely on the consumer lending space, Davis-Riffe's core focus is providing financial, operational and regulatory compliance assistance to large and middle market mortgage and consumer lending originators, servicers, securitizers and the Government Sponsored Entities (GSEs). Davis-Riffe also leverages her thorough mortgage and consumer lending knowledge to provide subject matter assistance to KPMG audit clients.
"I am honored to be recognized among an extraordinary group of professionals who have made important contributions to the housing industry," said Davis-Riffe. "I am grateful for the opportunity I have been given to work with such talented professionals at KPMG to provide mortgage companies critical assistance in the management and optimization of financial risks amid this constantly changing regulatory environment."
A resident of McLean, Va., Davis-Riffe earned her Bachelors of Science in Accounting at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia, as well as an Accredited Mortgage Professional. She was also enrolled in the Aresty Institute of Executive Education at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
